"Yes, it's her, I'm sure."

"So what are we waiting for, arrest her."

In the quiet night, a man's hoarse voice echoed from within a stretch Lincoln. His lean and rugged face accentuated his facial features even more.

The driver next to him continued to take pictures of the woman who had walked out of the film crew holding props and then sent out messages.

A few seconds later, the woman holding the props was directly escorted by several black-clothed bodyguards into a black sedan.

Cloud Central Hotel, Room 306.

Lu Ting Shen sat sideways on the spacious leather sofa. His black handmade Western-style suit accentuated his shape and facial features to perfection. The goblet filled with red wine in his hand slightly swayed and a gold-silk nanmu bracelet on his wrist emitted bursts of fragrance.

After a moment, his gaze landed on the notebook that was placed on the coffee table.

In the notebook was a picture of a woman. The woman in the photo was named Mu Xiao Jun, with almond-shaped eyes, a high-bridge nose, a small mouth, her hair tied back in a ponytail, and was modestly dressed. The smile on her face was particularly noticeable.

Next to the notebook was the latest gossip magazine. This edition was released at eight o'clock this morning.

The cover feature was a photo of him, Lu Ting Shen, the president of the Lu Group, and celebrity heartthrob Guo Kai, caught delightfully kissing!

Lu Ting Shen's gaze traveled between the notebook and the magazine, finally resting on the notebook.

Ring, ring, ring!

The phone rang!

Lu Ting Shen picked up the phone, listening to a couple of sentences from the person on the other end, then set down his wine glass, impatiently awaiting the woman who was about to be delivered to him — Mu Xiao Jun!

Ten minutes later, Mu Xiao Jun was ushered into the hotel room by the black-clad bodyguard.

Thunk!

She was hurled to the ground, her head smacking against the floor near Lu Ting Shen’s feet. She jerked awake from her unconscious state.

“Um!” Mu Xiao Jun pressed a hand to her head instinctively, opening her eyes to an unfamiliar environment, a look of confusion in her eyes, “Director, why have we changed location so soon? And which scene is this? My sister Ai Ai hasn’t prepared yet.”

Innocently clutching her head, Mu Xiao Jun took in her surroundings — a spacious luxurious room adorned with light-coloured furnishings. She seemed to be... in a hotel!

She didn't remember a hotel scene in the shooting schedule!

Images from her recent memory flooded her mind as she suddenly recalled a group of men in black approaching her. Opening her mouth wide in horror, she was about to scream when a figure appeared in front of her.

Seeing the mysterious figure, something seemed to click in her mind, sparking panic. She screamed frantically, her face turning red due to fear and exertion.

The sharp sound of her voice pierced through Lu Ting Shen's eardrums. His eyebrows knitted together as a cold chill appeared in his deep eyes, seemingly freezing the plush room.

Mu Xiao Jun felt her heart skip a beat. She glanced at the magazine on the coffee table and pointed a finger, “You... You're... You're that gay guy, Lu, CEO Lu?”

Lu Ting Shen slightly bent over, his muscular chest barely visible. His deep eyes reflected Mu Xiao Jun's panicked look. In a deep, magnetic voice, he retorted, “Who did you just call gay?”

“You…you!” Mu Xiao Jun involuntarily leaned back. For some curious reason, she felt as if he was a blazing fire, threatening to singe her.

Fear set in and she began to scramble backwards, “CEO Lu... I have something to do, I need to leave.”

As soon as Mu Xiao Jun finished her sentence, she saw Lu Ting Shen reach out, effortlessly pulling her up from the floor and tossing her onto the large bed.

“Lu...”

“Today, I brought you here to prove something — I, Lu Ting Shen, am not gay. You took that photo, didn't you? The framing was quite good, it looked very convincing. However... me, Lu Ting Shen, am definitely not.”

As he spoke, Lu Ting Shen was already taking off his jacket, his eyes glowing as they watched the person on the bed.
